About

Bookkeeping for people who work for themselves.

Netto is bookkeeping software for sole traders and freelancers in the Netherlands. It works fully in English and in Dutch.

What Netto does

  • Invoices and quotes, sent from Netto, with reminders when an invoice is late.
  • Receipts read from a photo: the amount, the category and the BTW you can claim back.
  • A read-only connection to your bank, so payments are matched to your invoices and receipts.
  • The BTW return prepared every quarter, box by box, with the ICP figures for clients in other EU countries.
  • An estimate of your income tax through the year, and your hours counted against the 1,225-hour criterion.

What stays with you

Netto prepares, you decide. You file the BTW return yourself in the Belastingdienst portal, with the figures Netto gives you. Netto does not file anything on your behalf.

Netto never moves money: the bank connection can only read. And it is software, not tax advice. For a question about your own situation, the Belastingdienst or a tax adviser is the right place.

Who it is for

Netto is built for the eenmanszaak: one person, one business. That includes international freelancers who would rather do their Dutch admin in English. It is not made for a BV or for a business with staff.

Where it is going

Most bookkeeping software is a place where you do your bookkeeping. We want Netto to be the place where it is already done: the payment matched, the receipt read, the return prepared, and only the decisions left for you.

Two things guide what we build. The Dutch rules come first, not as an adaptation of software made for somewhere else. And the language you work in should never decide how well you understand your own numbers.

Early access

Netto is in early access. We are inviting the first users ourselves, a few at a time.
