Connect Netto to ChatGPT, Claude or another AI app

Netto has an MCP server. Through it, ChatGPT, Claude and other AI apps can answer from your books, make drafts and prepare a send, on every plan.

Connect an app

The address is https://netto.so/api/mcp.

• ChatGPT: add Netto as a custom connector in Developer mode. The steps are below.
• Claude (web, desktop or phone): go to Settings → Connectors, press Add custom connector, and paste the address.
• Claude Code: run claude mcp add --transport http netto https://netto.so/api/mcp.
• Cursor, VS Code and other apps: add a remote MCP server of the HTTP type with the same address.

The app then sends you to Netto. Sign in and check the screen: it names the app, and the address it sends you back to, such as claude.ai. If Netto does not recognise that address, it warns you. Press Allow only for an app you added yourself.

Connect ChatGPT

ChatGPT adds your own connectors through Developer mode. Do this on chatgpt.com in a browser; the phone app cannot.

1. Go to Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.
2. Back under Apps & Connectors, press Create.
3. Name it Netto, paste https://netto.so/api/mcp as the address, choose OAuth for authentication, and confirm that you trust it.
4. ChatGPT sends you to Netto. Sign in and press Allow.
5. In a chat, pick Netto from the + menu, under Developer mode, and ask your question.

The names in ChatGPT’s settings can differ a little. Which ChatGPT plans offer Developer mode, and whether it lets Netto make drafts or only read, is up to OpenAI.

What the app can do

• Answer from your books: revenue, expenses and profit (without VAT), open invoices, the VAT return, receipts, clients and Netto’s help articles.
• Add a client, draft or change an invoice or quote, and log hours. Nothing is sent.
• Prepare sending an invoice, quote or reminder, or marking an invoice paid. The app gives you a link. Open it, check what Netto shows, and press Confirm. Only then does it happen. The link works for 30 minutes and only in your own account.

Remove an app

Go to Settings → Access. Under Connected apps, press Remove next to the app. It is signed out at once.
