Reports and exports
See your profit, who owes you money and where your money goes, and download your figures for your accountant or yourself.
The Reports page
Reports shows how your business is doing for a period you pick, such as This year or your own dates.
- Profit: what you invoiced minus your costs, and how much of each euro you keep before income tax (the Margin). Profit is before income tax: see Your income tax estimate for that.
- Profit per month: a bar per month. Tap or hover a month for its figures.
- Revenue by client and Expenses by category: who brings in the most, and where your money goes.
- Who owes me and What I owe: unpaid invoices from clients and unpaid bills from suppliers, grouped by how late they are.
- Balance sheet: what your business has (such as money in the bank and money clients owe you) and what it owes, on the last day of the period. Most freelancers only need this for their accountant.
- Profit and loss, by account: every booking behind each figure, for when you want to check one.
Every figure comes straight from your books, so it's only as complete as they are. Match your bank lines and add your receipts first.
Downloads for your accountant
At the top of Reports you can download two files for the year, in English or Dutch:
- Accountant ZIP: your invoices (as a list and as PDFs), your expenses with their receipts, all bookings, and the profit and loss, with a short explanation.
- Auditfile (XAF): the standard Dutch file that accountants' software reads.
See Work with your accountant to invite your accountant instead.
A copy of all your data
Under Settings → Your data, Export my data downloads everything in your account as one file (JSON, a format computers read). This year's auditfile is there too.
You must keep your business records for 7 years. Download a copy whenever you want, for example at the end of each year.
